In-and-out™ is a copyrighted method of development consisting in oscillatory leaving and going back to the problem at different levels of comprehension It uses psychoanalytical technique for deconstruction of the problem and examining it from different angles of perception depending on the position of the subject toward this problem, and thus leading to effects, which finally allow to name the occurrence as ‘a problem’. Clou of the method lies in repeated leaving and coming back to the problem in short cycles, what provides faster and faster development of already gone through phases of thinking and feeling every time and thus with every turn of the cycle clarifies conscious position of the subject toward the problem. It provides not only mental and intellectual elaboration of the problem within reflexive and thoughtful time (panel sessions), but also physical elaboration (within distractor activities), where the whole body is engaged in working out a position toward the problem. Thanks to panel sessions and distractors we ‘become’ the problem. Backing this process by psychoanalysis, where we engage unconscious to express our relation to the problem at hand gives us unique approach from every possible angle being at participant’s disposal. In everyday practice out of those three mentioned above we only use one, the former mental-intellectual one.
‘Distractors’
Propositions of activities distracting attention from the problem according to the in-and-out™ method must be interesting and pleasant and therefore engaging. During the preparatory phase we choose from among them, or we propose new ones. In 1 ER® Business, the choice of distractors must be done in such a way that the whole team could take part in them simultaneously. In other solutions (1 ER® Home, 1 ER® Relax) they are set individually for each participant.
