Additionally, in 1 Eexecutive Retreat® we propose two niche services: 1ER® Private and 1ER® Relax.

1 ER® Business is the option most commonly performed by 1 Executive Retreat®.

It assumes participation of 3-8 people, with preparation phase lasting 4-8 weeks. Every participant must undergo preparation cycle consisting with at least two analytical sessions and two panel meeting with the whole of the team. Dedicated offer is prepared after preliminary meeting. Completion phase i.e. the offsite lasts minimum two full and maximum five full days in one of the 1 Executive Retreat® recommended venues.

One should pay careful attention to ‘distractors’ section. These are very important parts of the whole offsite and the in-and-out™ method in particular. It is crucial that ‘distractors’ be something interesting and thus engaging and pleasant for the participants. The choice of distractors requires either the common (1 ER® Business) or an individual (all other options) decision of all participants. Thanks to a long preparatory phase, we are always able to find the right composition of distractors suited to each participant’s needs.

The description below refers to the most complicated option, which is 1 ER® Business. It is a sample description; there are modifications implemented to it depending on the choice of project, or timing, or the number of participants. For example, in 1 ER® Home there is no goal-setting phase, just as there is no main stakeholder. Either the whole family, or both spouses, agree on the need for the project or there is none. Such modifications – not necessarily so radical – occur at every stage of different projects. This is by far the most boring part to read, but it is fun and exciting when undertaken in one’s own project – live when we experience it – that’s why we limit ourselves only to this description without quoting all the differences in every particular option.

Sample activities program in 1 ER® Business project:

1. Preparation phase:

  • Interview with the main stakeholder (1-2 hours):
    1. Preliminary goal-setting
    2. Determination that participants are simultaneously stakeholders and decision-makers. We don’t want participants who have nothing to say in the matter, and thus are not interested and not engaged. Also, we don’t want to arrive at the conclusion after three days of hard work that the decision lies in somebody else’s hands, and we can do nothing with the solution  we worked out.
    3. Working out gauging objective fulfillment method – by which KPI will we measure it?
  • First panel meeting with the whole team subject to participation – method introduction, project assumptions presentation, Q and A session, preliminary distractors assignment (2-3 hours)
  • Preliminary business interviews with each participant separately (1-2 hours each)
  • Psychoanalytical session with each participant (0,5-1 h)
  • Problem-defining essay from every participant – max. 10 sentences (max. 300 words)
  • Second analytical session with every participant (0,5-1 h)
  • Second panel session with entire team – presentation of current findings, Q and A session, distractors set up, creating a brief for an offsite – max. 5 sentences (2-3 hours)
  • Final decision-making phase: (1-2 hours)
    1. Meeting with the main stakeholder or the entire crew (decision of the main stakeholder)
    2. Existing findings and discoveries presentation
    3. Confirmation or negation of the thesis of the offsite, potential goal reconfiguration
    4. Confirmation of the choice of distractors
    5. Logistics and planning for the offsite
  • Third analytical session with each participating member of the team (0,5-1 h)
